[ Drone Sym ]
We are building a game-grade, PC-based drone simulator purpose-built for professional pilot training. Powered by AI-driven enemies, dynamic NPCs, and unpredictable events, our simulator features terrains generated from real-world heightmap data and cities mapped from accurate geographic information. This allows pilots to log virtual flight hours before ever taking to the skies. This is not a generic flight sim. No scripted corridors. No predictable patterns. Just real-world scenarios, rendered with precision—repeated as many times as needed to master the craft. A living, breathing border world. Real threats. Authentic terrain. Unlimited repetitions.
DroneSym is a PC-based, GPU-accelerated simulation built on Unreal Engine 5. It reproduces the exact flight behaviour of in-service indigenous platforms, populates the world with adaptive AI enemies, friendly NPC ground crew and animal NPCs, and drops operators into real heightmap terrain of India's border sectors — at any hour, in any weather.
Every scenario is an event-driven system: fire a flare and the village dogs bark; fly too low over cattle and the herd scatters; trigger a jamming event and your HUD goes to static. No scripted railroads. A different experience every time.
Hostile networks use small, commercial-grade quadcopters to push narcotics, weapons and explosives across India's western frontier — low, fast, at night. The numbers from a single frontier, in a single year, tell the story.
Punjab frontier, 2025. BSF-reported figure. Year-on-year rise.
Narcotics dropped by drone at night, single patrol sector.
Explosives smuggled across the fence by drone in the same period.
Small arms. Ammunition. The mission is real and continuous.
Per-platform flight models for SWITCH-class ISR VTOL and Sabal-class logistics drone. Wind, altitude, payload mass, battery drain, failure modes — all physically simulated.
CoreTrain the full detect–classify–track–respond loop against narco and infiltration drones. EO, IR/thermal, radar, RF and acoustic sensor feeds — fused and interactive.
Core · Mission-criticalSix AI kits: friendly drone autonomy, adaptive enemy NPCs, co-pilot & intelligent tutor, civilian population, sensor-AI teaming, and procedural scenario generation.
Core + Roadmap10 environments: real DEM/heightmap data for Punjab, J&K, Himalayan, Rajasthan and Northeast sectors — plus synthetic training maps. Day/night, rain, fog, snow, dust storm.
CoreGround crew, patrol guards, QRT, watch commanders. Hostile drone operators, smugglers, infiltrators, lookouts. Dogs, cattle, bird flocks, deer — all with behaviour trees.
CoreDrone crash explosions, gunshot tracers, smoke trails, searchlight beams, EMP static, dust rotor-wash, signal flares. Walkie-talkie radio system with per-terrain ambient soundscapes.
CoreLive monitoring of all trainees, scenario injection, full session recording, after-action review, AI-generated debrief, scoring, cohort analytics and certification export.
CoreForward Operating Base with drone hangar, command post and situation room, vehicle pool, QRT scramble, guard towers, border outpost and mobile command vehicle.
CoreBuilt VR-ready via OpenXR — headset module (Varjo XR-4, Pico Enterprise) activatable without re-engineering. Scales from one laptop to a 10+ station networked centre.
Architecture · Optional moduleNight Narco-Drone Intercept
Riverine frontier, 0200 hrs. Detect, classify and track a hostile quadcopter carrying contraband before it reaches the drop zone. Jamming kicks in mid-pursuit.
Infiltration Watch
Pre-dawn ISR sweep over a mountain ridgeline. Mixed shepherd activity and a potential crossing. Discriminate thermal contacts — four of them are goats.
High-Altitude Logistics Resupply
Sabal 20 at 4,800 m. Crosswind makes station-keeping a battle. Boom-rail delivery must land inside 3 metres. Battery drain is faster than the manual says.
Swarm Response
Three hostile drones launch simultaneously from different azimuths. The swarm adapts if you prioritise one over the others. Coordinate with the QRT over radio.
EW — Navigating Blind
Broadband jamming suppresses GPS and degrades your command link mid-mission. Navigate 8 km back on terrain features, compass and onboard waypoints.
Base Camp Scramble
A hostile drone intrusion alert fires mid-prep. Prioritise, launch under pressure, manage the scramble as the base camp goes to alert posture around you.
AI is not a single feature — it is a stack of six cooperating kits. The enemy operator watches your patrol pattern and launches in your gap. The friendly tutor notices your gimbal was 20° off and tells you why you lost the contact. The goats scatter when you fly overhead.
All AI runs fully offline, on-device. No cloud dependency. Data-sovereign. Training-only — never wired to any real fire-control system.
Drone Behaviour Kit (Friendly)
Autonomous modes — waypoint, terrain-follow, obstacle avoid, return-to-home, failsafe. Human-on-the-loop supervised autonomy.
AI Adversary / Enemy Kit
Hostile drones fly plausible smuggling profiles. Ground adversaries evade, conceal and adapt. Lookout network relays patrol positions. Difficulty scales from predictable to reinforcement-learning adaptive.
AI Co-pilot & Intelligent Tutor
AI wingman in multi-UAV scenarios. Adaptive tutor adjusts difficulty per trainee. Automated debrief explains exactly what went wrong and why.
NPC / Population & Animal Kit
Civilian clutter — vehicles, people, livestock, birds. Thermal signatures designed to train discrimination. Every animal reacts to drone proximity, light and sound.
Sensor-AI / ATR Teaming
Simulated automatic target recognition on the EO/IR feed — with deliberate false alarms. Operators learn human-AI teaming and when to override the machine.
Procedural Generation & Analytics
Infinite scenario variation. Performance analytics, readiness scoring, cohort comparison. Random seed sharing so instructors can issue identical conditions to a whole class.
